Clematis Aromatica


Colour of the flowers: rich purple flowers with pale yellow anthers. Throughout summer the striking star shaped blooms exude a superb fragrance.

Height: 1,8 - 2 meter (6 - 7 feet)

Flowering Period(s): July - September

Position: full sun or partial shade

Pruning: Cut back stems to a pair of strong buds 15-20cm (6-8in) above ground level before growth begins in early spring.

Other features: easy to grow and fully hardy. It looks great scrabbling through a tree or neighbouring shrub and in full sun the flowers have a stronger fragrance.
